RELIGIOUS EMBLEMS COORDINATOR
Position Description
Promotes and manages the Religious Emblems Knot in the Pack.
Responsible for tracking Scouts in programs; periodic follow-up; and reporting to Advancement Coordinator.
Promote a faith-based environment with other pack leaders.
Work with Den Leaders to make resources for other religious patches and awards available.
Make emblem workbooks and other collateral available to scouts.
Coordinate completed workbook review with parents and a religious committee/ representative.
Works with other leaders to ensure proper recognition is given.
Attends leader meetings and assists the pack committee as needed.
Conducts oneself according to the Scout Oath and Law and is a good example for both boys and parents.
Desired Skills & Requirements
Organized, detail oriented.
Regularly attends monthly pack committee meetings.
Supports the policies of the BSA.
Will complete Youth Protection Training before starting in the position.
Will complete online training for "Pack Committee (MC)" within 30 days of registering.
Estimated hours per week, average: 0-2
Length of commitment: Year-round, 1-2 years in the role plus 1 year of mentoring replacement
Leader uniform required: No, but encouraged
